This afternoon Siena, Joey, and I went to visit a friend's newborn Dwarf Nigerian Goats. The goats were 9 days old and weighed three lbs. Siena was in love. Joey, on the other hand, was terrified. (So much so that to capture it on film would have been cruel... I handed the camera to our friend and took Joey out of the room.) Apparently baby goats are far more frightening when they're half your size.

April 2011
We've had a wonderful start to our spring this year. Joe has begun working on another rock wall (his best yet) and I have been planting fruit bushes nonstop. (So far - 81 strawberry plants, 15 blueberry bushes and 5 raspberry bushes. I have a long way to go.) Siena has been a big help with planting. She's particularly fond of peat moss for whatever reason and keeps sprinkling it on Joey's play table so he can enjoy it, too.
Joey is crawling everywhere and couch-surfing from surface to surface around the house. He is frequently clapping his hands and laughing heartily at his big sister.
Here are a few pictures from this month. Note the snow on the deck at the beginning of April - it's FINALLY gone!
Joey on Easter, as styled by his cousin Emmett:
Family hike a few weeks ago. I'm really into the matching hats, while Joe thinks I'm crazy and refuses to join in wearing a white hat. Yet.
Can't wait to see everyone at Bob and Manda's wedding next month!
